The "Mudhound" unde the knife

STUPID F$%*ING AUTO LOG OUT CRAP.
Anyway:

Upper hose for a fox body mustang

"Airhat" for a Dodge Dakota:

Fits under the hood very nicely. The other one from the caddy is too tall to allow the hood to close.
I had to trim the Dakota piece to get it to fit on a 1/2" spacer, so that it would fit on the 2bbl correctly. It will also fit the TBI system that I will be installing very soon.

I have some more pictures of the heater box, including the measurement of the cut out, since I could never find it, and I thought that others might appricate such info, at least for a starting point, since everyones' install will be different.
I have to wait for my camera to charge, since it won't let me pull the pictures with a dead battery, even if connected to the computer.

Looking good man, I hate that auto log out too.

I do the 2 window/tab thing. The only thing that I can figure is that maybe I take too long to add pictures sometimes, and then I get booted for "inactivity". Dunno. :icon_confused:

Like the airhat idea. What year did it come off of?

This one came off of a 99 model, but as long as the V6 is a Multiport motor, the hat would be the same. The V8 is ALOT alike, but taller. Just something to keep in mind for underhood clearances......I have an idea for the airfilter housing that I am working on, so, hopefully tomorrow I will have some info to share. I can't find the frikkin charger for my camera ( I think that my daughter ran off with it :annoyed: ), so I will do my best to describe the "what/how" for ya'll.

Well. I STILL can't find the camera charger. Anyways, I have gotten the doubler mount finished and installed. It is a piece of 1/4" plate that I drilled and trimmed to run from the rubber mount on the "X"case adapter to the crossmember that I stole from my 85 parts BII. This Xmember has a BIG "hump" on the passenger side, and a smaller "swag" in the drivers' side. It also is the "in frame" style that bolts in. I simply fliped it side for side, so that the big "hump" is now on the drivers' side, and now, there is a monster amount of room for front driveshaft travel, plus I now have room to run dual exhaust for the V8 down the pass. side framerail. I am working on putting the actual divorce mounted Xcase in this evening, and figureing out the new d/s length for it, along with how long the cables needs to be for the linkages. I can the cables in just about any length that I need, and this seems to be the easiest way to get the Xcase to shift. I am going to be using factory shift levers in the cab, so the mount for them is next.
The airfilter housing is from a Jeep Wrangler TJ, as it mounts on the passenger side fender well to start with, and is easily modded for the rear exit air hose that will be going to the cowl area for mounting.

Well, I had to throw out the Xmember that I was using, as the doublers' actuation lever was preventing me from mounting the case. I ended up using the original "outside the frame" Xmember, and part of the mount that came with tranny. More pix tomorrow.

what axles gears are you planning to run to get the 196 to 1 crawl ratio bud

and what motor mounts did you use or did you order engine swap mounts?

I HAD A REPLY TYPED UP FOR THIS, BUT, THE STUPID )(*^)(*&%(&^$&^%$(*&%)*&*^%$(*&^%*&)(* AUTO LOG DECIDE TO BOOT ME OFF.
Short version: 85 Mustang convertable mounts, and wrong math on transfer case reductions. will post new math.

ahhhh i see thats still pretty low...and im running 4.56 gears as well...im thinkin i may just do a 435/205 and see how i like it and how much space i have before i buy the doubler kit.
