"The Grey Squirrel" My 2020 XLT Sport 4x4

Sometimes vehicles develope little noises like that. Stuff wears out and rubs causing little squeaks and bumps and rattles. Sometimes noisy bugs get in there, like crickets.
Haha. I just got the cricket reference. Funny guy.

I haven't been keeping up with my own thread. But I have upgraded my battery setup recently to some lithium Battle Borne group 31s

These have built in heaters. That will come in handy when I cold camp. I also removed the 2 slide trays. Though the thought was nice. It really restricted space. Ive built a new slide for my 12v fridge and a cover for my batteries and on board air tanks. The new fridge slide is much narrower and flips down to make getting in it easier. I installed a 2.5 gallon air tank with a 90-120 psi 12v pressure switch. That activates my Viair 100P. Makes airing up a lot faster. I filled all 4 285/70r17s form 20 to 35psi in about 5 mins yesterday. I will grab some pictures of the new bed setup after it quits raining.

Were you in my neighborhood yesterday?

Why yes I was. My buddy Brian was in town so I ran up and saw him and hit some back roads.

Shoud've yelled. I know that last intersection. It's about 1/2 mile from my house.

I should have. We were supposed to grab lunch at Los Agaves in Westmoreland. Then Kyle suggested we go stretch the trucks out haha. They needed me to go in case one of the Jeeps broke down hahaha

Went out camping and riding last weekend. The new battery setup worked great. I ran a pit boss smoker off the inverter for 4 hours and charged a M12 Milwaukee battery and was still above 80% Thats with storms and overcast most all weekend. So the solar wasn't putting much to it. That would have drained my group 27 agm. I need to load it up and let it run and do some real world testing.

Great setup! Does this mean you're doing BBQ for us on the next adventure??

That pit boss takes up some space. We would have to do a short adventure haha. Only draws about 2 to 4 amps though. We could cook for several days on my setup now. Now that translates to about 20 to 30 12v.

There's something about camping and cooking with electric that just seems wrong.

Those just use electricity to feed pellets to the fire with an auger, not like we are talking about an induction cooktop.

I agree. I couldn't think of another way to cook that giant tomahawk steak Riley was bringing without burning it up though. 4 hours at 200° and it was perfect.

Yes it was actually smoked on applewood pellets. Well I think thats which pellets I had

Just don't turn into one of those overlanders that tows an offroad camper with a microwave in it. LOL.

Yeah it's back on the porch now. Probably it's first and last camping trip.
