I bought a used 99 4WD ranger supercab with manual tranny. 3.0 flex . surprise got it dirt cheap. But was I in for surprise. Had hardly any brakes I replaced front am looking for rear it has drum brakes. The guy told me it needed a new clutch so I took him he knew what he was talking about yeah I replaced if my self. Surprise it was hardly wore all it needed was fluid and a good bleed. Now here's some more surprises the front end is wore out meaning upper and. Lower ball joints as I was looking at the uppers I noticed 2 different styles idk much about them I forgot to mention has been lifted don't know how much. Wasn't really into that lifting crap. I think 4" u 2 different styles passenger looks like adj type need help finding right kind.. Also having hard time finding shocks I took them off the numbers don't do no good so I measured front are 17" collasped 21.5 extended. Rear 20"collasped 30" extended. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I'm really liking this ranger actually fun to drive no problems except what I mentioned and maybe replacing corroded battery cables.and tune up. Waiting but plz no surprises.

Take it easy there buzzed...

It's Saturday morning and folks are just waking up...

The dog and the bear are just people basically saying hello and welcome to the site.

You asked a bunch of questions in the introduction forum... try posting a single question in the proper forum. Be clear in your question so we have a chance at knowing what it is you would like help with.

This site has many people that know theirs Rangers... and all of them are happy to help.

So pour another cup of coffee.... post a question... give it a minute... nobody gets paid to solve your problems here. We do it because we are Ranger folks and like to keep these older truck on the road.

So welcome to TRS...

Pictures would be helpful of the issues you want resolves.... And better sentences that actually make sense when reading. You posted at 3:25 in the frickin morning.... Then bounced at 8:50 because you felt no one was helping you..... You gotta give it some time (more than a few hours in the early AM) if you want a free diagnostic from people who know what they are talking about.

Lets not turn this into a bash the poster thing...

He was a bit to impatient and needed to be a bit more specific. I think he knows the error in his ways.

If he comes back with a question... lets just do what we do... and help the fella out.

the factory style passenger side upper control arms are replaced with the same style as the drivers side.
they are NOT IDENTICAL, rather they are opposites of each other.
you will need camber adjusting kits, that's bolts with big oval shaped washers.

Do you understand the question about my shocks. Numbers on them do no good I've tried cross referencing. Them. Zilch. I've called every parts place. Practically sent emails pictures not a damn. Thing from all that . does anybody. Have any ideas should I go with extensions after I get close to measurments. Also don't understand mirrored image. I'll send pics. In a few
Thanks

Pictures would definitely help. If the lift was done using a kit from a known vendor, someone here might recognize the brackets and hardware from good photos. There’s a slim chance we might be able to tell you “ you need xxx shocks from yyyyy vendor” or similar substitute.

Again, not to be irritating, but this is in the “introduce yourself” forum. Asking your questions in new threads in the proper help forums gets better answers and makes it easier for someone later who is searching for the same info.

@BUZZEDBRUTAL you say the #'s you have do no good. What are the #'s you have? Maybe someone here will recognize them and know what you have so you can reorder them. Or go to RockAuto.com and put in your Ranger's specs & you can get the correct replacement part of your choice.

He said the truck seems to be lifted considerably. So stock parts for his Ranger from Rock Auto won’t work.
