Sun visor recall

Wife's 2024 Ranger FX4 goes in tomorrow for the recall. How much do they take apart??

I don't know but I'm just wondering what could possibly go wrong with a sun visor.

It may be something important so it's worth having it done, but some recalls are dopey. When the Focus was introduced they had a reinforcing rib in the inside A pillar trim so it wouldn't warp over time. They were recalled and we had to replace the trim with non reinforced pieces, the concern was that they wouldn't absorb the impact of someone's head in an accident because they were "too rigid". Never mind that if you hit the pillar it meant you disregarded the safety equipment and weren't wearing a seat belt.

Found this - Ford has recalled 140,201 Ranger pickup trucks from model years 2024 through 2026 because the sun visor wiring can short-circuit and cause a fire
