So, a few years ago when i first got my truck and started upgrading it, one of the first things i upgraded was the intake to a aftermarket "cold air intake"...
Now that ive been working on it for a few years and know a heck of a lot more, I've been fixing a few things i screwed up....the CAI being one of them
The intake i have now looks cool, and makes a loud vroom.....but there really are no noticeable performance increases [suprise!] and the big kicker: when i go mudding, it has a bad habit of sucking up water super easy, ive killed the engine before, and currently im having to clean the hot wire on teh air flow sensor yet again...
to replace w/ stock is pretty pricy [$280ish]...thats more than i payed for this aftermarket one!
QUESTION: Has anybody had any luck with a aftermarket air box set up for offroading? specifically for a 03 mazda b3000 [if not i should be able to mod]
OR
just bite the bullet and buy a new stock one and throw it back in there?
p.s. if anyone looking for a ricer looking CAI, im ur guy...lol
