SOLVED: Stereo Dash kit for an 89 BII?

Howdy,

Anybody know of a stereo installation dash kit for an 89 BII? I ordered this, but it only fits up to 88:

Have you checked with Crutchfield?

Metra makes an install kit for pretty much everything ever made.

Checked, none for an 89.

I looked over at metra and when you search for BII 89, they suggest this, but in the directions it says its only good for up to 88:

I'll screw with the one I have tomrrow, I'll make it work somehow.

This guy did it on a ranger without a trim kit. Interior looks the same as my 89:

So the verdict is, you do not need a kit for an 89 and I assume a 90 BII. Just follow this video and the install is easy and very solid.

There is also a guy J Nguyen that can re-store factory radios and add Blue Tooth and Aux input. Kinda pricey but keeps the original look.

Buy a kit for an 89 or 90 Ranger, same interior so the dash would be the same too LOL.
