I picked full width D44 it's what i'm putting together at the moment D44 Hp frt and 9'' out back out of a 78 bronco perfect for what I do shouldent need any bigger for what I do gonna run some 36'' tsl's

8.8 pissed me off for the last time...so i just did dana 60's.

who knew? i always thought the d35 was failure that would drive me over the edge:icon_confused:

i looked at some volvo axles but thats just costly work i dont need to do. at 1600 for the set though it was a tough choice.

only way(till the new mopar axles)i would put a d44 in is if i put 60 shafts and outers on it. after watching people constantly destroy all the bling chromo/super joint 44 stuff, i just couldnt justify it. now the places i have not been going to i can finally try. pf course...after upgrades:D

'85 D60 in mine. Currently undergoing full hydro install now.

pics to come soon, eb d44, bronco graveyard molly shafts, 4.55's (so i didnt ahve to change the carrier)

well i voted full width, but now mines just narrowed.

Was a 77 f150

now its drivers side f150 and pass side EB

Dana 44's Front and Rear; Re-geared to 4.56, Moser alloy 32 spline shafts, GM Knuckles and Disk Brakes in front, Scout D-44 disk conversion in rear, Detroit Locker in Front and Power-Lock in Rear Custom Drive Shafts with 1310 U-Joints and long travel splines

I used a dana 44 waggy axle. I think it is perfect. It is a few inches wider then stock and the pumpkin is over far enough that you clear the engine cross member. Allows for less lift and still a good amount of up travel.

So.....here's a wrapped up version of my truck, with bumpers/sliders, fiberglass fenders and hood etc to come...
