Today I was heading into work and I noticed this prius was following me for a while. I got to the parking lot and parked in my usual spot and the prius parked right next to me...a couple came out and started yelling at me about how I'm destroying the environment with my truck..and I mean yelling, people were staring at us and I didn't know what to say or do. But they went rambling on about how I need to sell my truck and get at least a newer one or better yet get a car like the prius...has anyone else had this problem?? lol

better to reply back with the comment of how enviro friendly is it so senselessly follow me (as mentioned), or ask them how educated they are about what it takes to put all that plastic into that prius and where plastic comes from, and oh by the way, has anyone ever been to a facility that processes plastics? not to get on a rant but I work in one and oh my lord, the amount of energy it takes to produce a plastic part staggers the imagination.

They are hypocrites for pulling a move like that. Ask them for the facts about each cars carbon foot print from inception to the product each person pilots down the road, and then come talk to you. Until then F off!

Don’t get me wrong, I am considering a career change because I really can’t stand the ethics about my job and how bad it really is for the environment but you bet your ass I am not getting ride of my 15 year old 4x4 ranger.

I was thinking the same thing. Take the high road, and let them make themselves look even more foolish. People who resort to saying "F you" are either wrong or don't have anything intelligent to say. Don't be that guy. These people are obviously delusional and oblivious of certain facts to think that their Prius is going to save the world. I'd refrain from giving them a tongue lashing and simply state some of the facts that have been posted here.

i like stating the the facts that have been mentioned. they probably dont even realize that you drive a 3.0 v6 that gets pretty decent mileage. if that doesnt work and they are still being morons, just rev up your engine and make up things like you dont have a catalytic converter and are polluting even worse than they think.

Problem is 99% of those prius drivers are ignorant, jackass, idiot's getting a measely 30 to 45 mpg completely wasting the potential of the car. Driven properly they can easily get 75+ Recently a demonstration was done in cali where a unmodified prius nailed down 124 MPG.
