Shop Truck

If you don't care, please take lots of pictures of when your cutting the wheels and rewelding them, this is something I'm really interested in.

I remember back when I was a young lad in the mid 70's, my dad, and some of his friends use take the factory steal rims from a ford truck that was some thing like 6 to 7 inches, make 15" wide rims, I always wondered how they did it and get them where they didn't wobble.

I found a whole parts truck, but he wants too much for it. He's wanting 300 for it.

I have to baby the center lines when driving (driving over curbs and checking them when pulling over to Work).. And they are off my 72 V8 Pinto.
The steal rims are for the Shop Truck. If I don't like the 8's I'll just buy 10 inh hoops from Speedway. I Don't/Can't work out of a lowered truck. But I wold love to have a lowered Bronco.
Who knows the project is evolving...

Had to give the truck a bath. I've been painting outside and the wind has been a little too hard to paint but I'm get there.

It's been great to have the truck back to work with. since it's back I'm planning on picking up the new motor and transmission this month, and the new bed and a few front bumpers. Since my list is getting so long I'm looking for a good deal on some doors with glass if you happen to know some one, Or someone with a half door project that doesn't need the glass.
I'm starting to take the rims apart I'll have pic's of each step.

those would look awsome on that truck! lol seriously... itd be sweet

I've been busy the last couple weeks but I got to take a couple hours to Pul-A-Part.
I was able to purchase two Chevy truck wheels to make my wide rear rims with, The Chrome ones I had didn't work out do to the dumb A$$ working the tape measure. but the Chevy hoops will work.

I dropped them off at the TIRE STOP INC. and had the crap tires removed.
Now I have to cut the welds out and remove the centers from the hoops.

While I was waiting for the tires to be unmounted I pulled the heater box off and vacuumed the leafs out... they were all packed in front of the heater core, No wonder I didn't have heat!

Glad you got the heat working Frank! Can't wait to see the next advancement in the shop truck.
