Shop Truck

Tore Down the engine and it was toast.. looks like it sat with antifreeze and water in the cylinders. So I need to find another V8... the C4 looks good tho.

Took the Truck to the Okie Round-Up! Got to meet other Ranger Station folk from the state.. also scored some new door glass for the passenger door.

I'm having issues with the gas line or the gas tank. since I cannot find a sending unit for the 83-85 ranger I'm pondering a gas tank swap while I'm in there.

Anyways I'm trying to get moving forward on the "Shop Truck" and since it about function as well as looks I finally bought a lift/crane for the bed... A blown out bycept will do that for ya.

this is it being test fitted. I'm building a "H" frame to mount it too, that will cross both of the trucks frame rails and mount the lift to that to stop any bed deflection.

That one is cool .. it throws sparks when it does 4 wheel burnouts!

I just needed one more and now I have them. And the price was right!
I can continue working on my wheels.

I like the way you are going with your truck. Some of your ideas seem familiar.

Seems vintage is my theme !! not sure how it would work with a auto trans but I bet I could figure it out.

Went to Pull-A-Part today and got a new tailgate ( the old one was stolen some time back)
and Scoped out a 8.8 with 3:73 Limited with Disc Brakes... if all goes well I'll get back to pull it out. I feel iffy about buying a engine there since I cant look at the fluids or talk to the owner... but I'm still looking for a 302 or 289

I won't buy a Engine again from Pull-A-Part, unless it's a wrecked car or truck, I pulled 4 engines from Pull-A-Part for a friends Chevy, and I checked the oil in them and they all looked OK, till I got them home, installed and fired them up, only to find a rod knocking or dropped valves, or something else.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Pull-A-Parts in Knoxville, Tn. and will continue to do business with them for a long long time, in fact I was there today just to take a walk around to see what was all there.

Thanks Robert.
I'm looking for a engine to rebuild but I'm not super keen on getting a pul-a-part motor.

But I'm looking forward to getting more done.
