Shift bushing repair/replace

Hey guys... got a weird one. I did read the sticky article about how to replace a shift bushing and I've watched several YouTube videos... but my truck just doesn't seem to match. I've got an 88 ranger custom 4x4 with the 2.9. This is my shift bushing on the truck now it's a 4 bolt, unlike the replacement part I got which is a 3 bolt. Everything I've seen and read says they're all 3 bolt. Anyone have any ideas??

3-bolt seal/top plate over the bushings is the M5OD. you either have the toyo kogyo or mitsubishi manual transmission. Im not sure if you have any options other than having something made. Heres a link with more information, based on what I breifly saw I believe yours is a mitsubishi transmission.

Looks like a FM145/146 plate. What's the underside of your trans look like?

Looks like the FM to me. My solution when I messed with it on my 89 Bronco II was to cut the shifter below where it bulges out and make a stub out of the bottom section. Ground a flat on one side, drilled and tapped for a pair of 1/4-20 bolts, made an upper shifter assembly out of a piece of 5/8” rebar (with corresponding flat and holes for 1/4” bolts), and replaced the bottom little boot with a partially damaged ZF-5 shifter boot thing I had laying around from my ZF-5 swap adventure in my F-150 and some oil resistant RTV.

Its a 146. That shifter is available for $79.95 on Ebay new.
