Was asked by one of my long time wheelin buddies to help him build a new truck. so i got all the details of what he wanted. curved them in a slightly different direction as a trail truck shouldnt need a step ladder to get into. and off we went building.

Plans are
Factory 4.3
700r4
10 bolt front
corp 14 FF rear
super soft suspension
and RELIABLE as possiable
make a great trail truck, good wheeler, street drivable

Figured it would be done round january somtime as there is alot of work to be done. told him he needs to work on it at least once a week. as it turns out he has been here every day bustin but pulled an allnighter last weekend and dern near an all nighter tonight as well. after only a week tear down is done and its gettin put back together. axles are in and supporting the truck. still need to do alot to have them completely done such as steering, brakes, shocks, shafts, and finish welding in gussets supports and all that good stuff. but here are some pics to bring it up to date.

Rear in with no shackles so the spring was just sittin against the frame.

sittin on its own weight, front is at final ride height, rear needs to come up a couple inches might throw the 2'' addaleaf back in and pray it doesnt make this thing ride like the brick of a truck the axles and suspension came outta.

we removed 4 springs from the rear "softride" pack and 2 front the front before installing them to get a baseline kinda.

good stuff...just have to ask the obvious....why a 10 bolt?

cuz its what he has. he's lookin for somthing a little bigger but we'll see. i'm sure it'll hold up allright for the time being.

Looks awesome Kevin. I'll be watching this one

Hey its my truck. doesnt look a whole lot differnt but it's atleast drivable now. not 100% streetable but moves under its own power. still have alot to do to this pig

its too bad your winch got stollen of your other truck or you could at least start on making a front bumper, but there is no excuse for not starting the rear.

next time your up workin on it. i can throw together a LONG list of things that can get done if you need some motivation.
