Ranger Sport Honduras official build thread


You already have the trans which in my opinion was the hardest to get your hands on. Like i told you before cuz, calm down and try calling him later or keep looking for another axle. Something has to come up. In my case i just bought a Dana 30 and it wont take me a while for me to start the swap on my truck, reason is a need a second car for my mother and i still have to settle since i just moved not even two months ago. I am flat broke but hey, i still have a job and nothing else to worry about. Just calm down and don't jump into unwise decisions just because you're frustrated. Trust me, in the long run you will be happy you didn't give up on your SAS plan. That's just my $0.02.!!
 
regardless of the time it take you RSH i will be impressed with this build. because you are doing it in a country that does not have as much in the way of a selection of junkyards as we have here in the north. you cannot even rely on the parts sale section we have on this site because of your location.
 
The one with the locker is a 3.55, and is missing an axleshaft apparently. I managed to talk to the guy, and ill try to get him to sell me just the brakes. i had to call him back right now, but his cell is off again.
I did found a 4.10 geared one at a jy, but it has no brakes.
Its in a fair price.
the complete axles run from 600 to 800 dollah.
Im thinking about gettin the 4.10 geared one, and make mission impossible to get the brakes from the other guy. Or order the brakes to the states once i sell the 2wd trans.
So yeah, im still on the game.

Did a bit of cleaning on the trans too. Tomorrow ill try to take the seals and clean the internals.

No there isnt. But the D30 brakes stop my truck nicely and have no problem at it. I just need to replace that rotors, mine are groved and are warpped a bit. But hooking the ranger line to them shouldnt be a problem, mine hooked right up, that is the banjo bolt fitting to the caliper. I ran my lines down my long arms to aviod getting extended lines and costed half the price. Only thing I see is your abs light bothering you but no biggy.
 
i dont have front abs, just in the rear.

i found rotors and calipers from a 96 grand cherokee, 2wd. but seems like those wont fit the d30 either.
 
Did more cleaning.
ill get the seals and fluids on monday to put it back together, make a fix for the t case linkage, go get me the 4.10 geared axle i found on the jy
ill try to get the driveshafts this comingh week to mount this thing on the truck, and sell the 2wd trans to get $$ for the brake parts for the D30.

Anyone knows the measurements on the t case shifter hole on the floor plate?
i need to know ho ong/wide it is, and how far of the main opening.
 
Ok i finally got an axle.
HP D30, 4.10 geared.

Needs a bearing hub, a caliper bracket, a dust cover
the tie rod, drag link
both calipers and both rotors.

Dude, your trans and t-case have a huge problem.


They are all blurry inside. That's gonna cause some major shifting issues.
