I miss the compact pick-up. I had 2 s10s, and a tacoma. I was a fan of the s10 more than the tacoma but for reasons beyond me each truck failed and now i have a suv. I say that to say this, i am now looking to get a ranger and put a 2.0 ecoboost in it or up to which model would the turbo diesel 4cyl fit into with minimal effort? i basically want a mini raptor lol

If your in the US, good luck finding the turbo diesel.

bah....theres lots of diesels to put in there. easy to find.

finding a free one that runs good is difficult....

The ford 4 cyl turbo diesel which I think he was referring to is almost nonexistent. I would just do a v8 swap personally

Someone on here did the ecoboost 2.3 swap from a Lima 2.3 and they were happy with the result...not happy with the cost so much but the performance.

Anything can be done but it boils down to how much do you have to spend and what do you want it to do...

Many trucks built for single purpose loose their appeal once the ability or desire to do what they were intended to do is lost...so always better to make it more general use with as much ability to do other things as needed...

I personally like multi-purpose vehicles that are not too extreme in any one way...except maybe heat in the winter...trucks without heat or poor heat can be as pretty or useful as they want to be but if my hands get cold or my nose sniffles then there is a problem...

ford turbo diesel? you mean a perkins or mitsubishi?

regardless.....i agree. those were turds on a good day so i opted for the v8 swap.....well....v8 and diesel. i like multiple fuel options.

VW 1.9 tdi with a vnt17 and a tune. Coil overs up front and deavers in the back with a shackle flip.

I'm talking about the 3.0l powerstroke used in international rangers. They are actually quite fun to drive. But I have only seen one state side and they wanted alot for that truck.
