Hello, My name is Leroy and I 'am the proud owner of a 94 Ford Ranger. It's a 1994 standard cab with a 4.0l and 5-speed transmission, it has 193k miles. I bought it with these Items replaced. Idle air control valve, Mass air flow sensor, Temperature sensor, throttle position sensor, new fuel pump (complete unit), new alternator, new battery/battery cables, New coil, new wires, new plugs and new fuel pressure regulator.
I bought the truck with a problem that has the previous owner stumped, and me too. When its cold out, the truck will run, but poorly, sounds like its missing. Once it warms up its strong as a horse, no hesitation, no bucking, just smooth running. Now, onces its warmed up, if you shut the truck off and turn it back on, it runs perfect, but if you let it cool down about 15 mins or so, it will not want to run, it hesitates, bucks, and sounds like its missing.
I have no check engine light on, but it does have one code saying the truck is in gear. So obviously the issues are regarding the cold weather.
I have not dug deep into it yet, Im wanting to check for any vacuum leaks first, but would just like a heads up if possible from anyone. Thanks
