Was it worth it? Did you do it as a hobby, because you have the skills, or did you have the work done?

How much did it cost?

How long do you plan to keep your Ranger now that you've converted it? A few years? Ten? Until it rusts away?

I'm going through the "Should I spend 10K to convert or just make payments on a new one in a few years." virus.

Thanks for your help.

10k i would just buy a decent 4x4/4wd truck

I agree with Ranger850. The 10K would be better spent on another truck that already has 4X4.

$10K sounds really high.

But yes, on your year of truck you would be far ahead just buying a different vehicle if you want the 4x4 that bad,.

Thanks.
I was thinking that way.

Yeah, there's too much in those years... on mine I just swapped the frame, got the donor for $350 the rest was just maintenance and time, it's been nearly 15 years since I did it and I think it's been worth it but then again it would have been nice to keep it as a daily driver at times so should have kept both...
