I've been pondering over doing a body lift and I got a few questions/concerns...Trucks an 06 fx4

1. How did some of you move up your tow hooks to fit back in the hole in the valance? I do not want to cut holes in my valance for the tow hooks I want them in the stock spots.

2. How did you guys move your hitches up so they don't hang down? Cut them and re-weld back together or just buy a different hitch?

3. Pic request of how much the frame shows under your truck.

Thanks in advance.

simple answer-- dont do a body lift lol
but you can't really do a budget boost lift like coil spacers and shackles/blocks...

is there a different way you could do a cheap lift on the front suspension?

b2, read what he wrote. he has a 06' i think those are torsion bars. just get some torsion keys and shackles for a few quick inchs of lift

edit: and a body lift wont void the warrenty.

how much lift ya need? A Torsion Bar tweak will get you up to 2". The lift keys will get ya another 2"

Only thing I can do for the front for cheap is crank my t-bars(cranked them an inch to level out the truck, but dont ant to go any higher and have a crappy ride) or I could get lift keys, which I think I want to do as well, but thats only 2"

So its either a $200 body lift or a $2000 superlift lol.

yeah, that's what i hate about torsion bar stuff.... i say get the body lift, get it on. then start fabbing it up!

I know for my hitch I most likely have to cut and weld it to move it up..... But I'm clueless about my tow hooks. I don't want to just take them off, but I don't want to cut holes in my valance like others have(personally I think it looks like s**t).
