prospect grille gaurd

Hey guys, I was debating whether or not to get a grille guard for my truck. I've wanted one since I got the truck and I found a relatively cheap one on JC Whitney ($110). I just want a second opinion on if it would look good or not on my particular truck and if its worth it. thx

Personally, I think push bars look BA on just about anything... I say go for it...

as long as its made to fit the contour of the truck then i say go for it, but if its just a generic straight guard that doesnt curve with the bumper i think it will just look goofy. i used one off from a full size chevy, but i cut it up and welded it onto the custom bumper that i made for the truck so that it can actually knock shit down.

i think it would look cool though. ive been trying to find a cheaper one for my 97 ranger for about 6 monthes now. go for it

thx for the feedback guys. the guard in question is custom fit but doesn't have light guards. I did find another one for a bit more yellowtruck with light guards. here's the pick and the links:

haha. PS: the one with light guards, it says they're sold separately but I can't find them on that site. but they're probably elsewhere

I like that one too but its too far away. it would be like a 6 hr drive one way for me. so i'm looking at cheap ones on the internet

Build it yourself, its the cheapest way and you can get EXACTLY, what you want...

so where would you get the steel? a junkyard?

you can get the steel at a welders supply. just look for welders supply in the yellow pages to find the suppliers near you.
