Project SVT

rable rable......

Well, as luck would have it, No progress at all, yet. I've been working my butt off at my new job, and what little time off I've had has gone to working on the ST and a buddies ranger. I should be getting back on it in a couple weeks hopefully...I miss my truck so much that I'm already planning a V8 swap and SAS for the ST as soon as SVT gets road worthy again :icon_thumby:

I work on Ft. Campbell as a maintenance at an army hotel. Trust me, I had all intentions of going to work in the opposite direction, but I had a free ride to and from work til I got the ST going. More money (which wasnt too much more) and endless benefits starting Sept. 1 (less than 30 days from date of hire). It was kind of hard to pass it up. Plus I can transfer to anywhere in the world. They have over 4500 hotels in over 100 countries, with another 1300 being opened this year alone...

No idea what he's talking about transfer. :icon_confused:
He isn't going anywhere. Would have to much stuff to move with that little ST! :icon_thumby:

Hey Rick, I know you are a lighting expert. I need some smaller headlights to fit my Raptor grill on, 5" or smaller. Any suggestions?

You need hi/lo beam style lights, or just fog light style?? I have a pair of 4" round lights I got some time ago, its the blue tinted lens that is hyper white when lit. I was going to use them in my lowrider's front bumper, but have gone another direction with that...While this was brought back up from the dead, I'm actually up your way this weekend, just got back from liberty for a part for my sister's car....

Anyways, back from the dead, small update. I had some difficulty locating a shop near me to do what I wanted with my shock hoops, so I had to build it. I called on a good friend that helped me with the project before with fantastic results. He has access to a CNC plasma table, so he cut out the pieces I needed for my shock hoops. I should have them installed next weekend, and should have more progress done. What's left you ask?? I have to fab my link bars, link bar mounts, engine cage/shock hoop combo on the frame end, tracbar mount, fuel tank relocated and battery relocation. I have two batteries to go into the truck now, so now is a good time to relocate. I'm gonna try to get a couple of winches for SVT and ST as well, but thats my Xmas presents when I get them, hopefully the first week of Nov. I also got my tires on the way, should be here friday. Plans are to get a set of rims in about a month. I'm also buying parts for the ST, so thats slowing the parts collection for SVT...Hopefully I should have some worthy pics by holloween as I hope to have it mobile again by then...

Funny I was at Glisson's today. And yeah I need hi/lo lights. Picked some up while I was there. We'll see what I come up with.

Well, you will have to stand in line, I was given an offer on it already, but I still have it. Hmmm....:D

Up at Kenny's farm?? Doesn't look that difficult...Not with my new tires :D
SVT

What new tires?! holy crap man i want some idea of how this will be other then big lol

good times... it was down at the river bottoms a few miles from Kenny's farm. i cant wait until the video of them pulling me out. you can see all the mud that had me held up

Big tires, and it should sit lower than it did with the 35's....I'm aiming for only about 6" of up travel, and 10" drop...This friday I should have the shock hoops on. Things will go faster now that I will be burning to the frame instead of drilling and bolting. Some time next year will be a new frame and fresh motor, so I'm not going to worry about trying to strengthen this frame. As far as the tires, I got all 4 of them for 400, so I couldn't pass up that deal. What are they you ask?? You will have to wait til I get it rolling to see :D
SVT

Damn...knew I should have went....I'll meet you one of these days...lol
