Project Little Green Turd

looking awesome man...had to do a major double take looking at the start of your thread....we have (or I guess had) identical trucks....3rd gen green 4x4 2.3 with 31 tsl's....pure awesome.

Thanks! I actually think I remember noticing that when I looked at your build thread for the first time. They seem to be a fairly rare model. Rangebe 2.0 has undergone quite a transformation from a 3rd gen green 4x4 2.3 with 31 tsl's. Hows yours coming? I haven't been back to your thread in a little while. I assume you have finals right now or right around the corner.

Looks good. Glad to see it coming along. I ended up spending my Saturday wrenching on Bronco then Christmas shopping. Neither were very produatice though. However as of last night it runs. Its sounds pretty nasty. I gotta check timing and get some exhaust made then I'm ready for some trails.

Nice! I wish I could say I was that close :icon_rofl:

I did the majority of my Christmas shopping online on Black Friday. Save a hell of a lot of time and money. I still got to go out and get a few odds and ends though.

When are you taking the Bronco in the woods?

It's going for exhaust the week after Christmas. Theres a couple of us planing to go to Westco for new years eve and day to go riding. I'm going up Sunday but I'm just wheeling that tracker and if it dies my ranger will be in the woods lol.

Do you still DD your Ranger or have you been using the F350?

The ranger is still my DD. Well atleast for the winter. I ran the dually more when the weather was nice. I'm going to try and run it as little as possible this winter. I want my paint and chrome to stay nice. Plus I don't wanna have to tires on it yet. I can still get a few K more outta mine lol.

Are their any special requirements for breather hose on axles and t-case? Or is it just basic rubber tube?

I've always used whatever hose I've had around. I've never had issues with plain rubber hose for a breather.

I got part of the frame cross member cut out right before Christmas and have been really busy since. Heading back tomorrow to put Pioneer App Radio in the F250 and cut the rest out of the Ranger and maybe even get to some painting.

And my girlfriend bought me the most awesome present for Christmas:

And you better believe these are going on the Ranger!!!! :yahoo:

I guess I'll have to paint it Orange and throw paint a Confederate flag on the roof... It will be called "Ranger Lee!!!" :icon_rofl:

I was going to say " It's about time for a damn update" but then I saw the train horns and was like "Nevermind" :thefinger:

I am going on a quad trip next weekend and I actually thought about mounting them to a plate and bolting them to the front rack. I just want to hear them, I don't want to wait lmao!

Got the new stereo in the F250 yesterday. Also got the rear of the frame painted.

I'm probably going to paint the whole underside of the bed before it goes back on. Ill do that with a spray gun though.

I didn't get the other half of the rotted cross member out though. I needed a second set of hands to get a body mount off and no one was around. Next trip should finish it off, get the new cross member in, and finish the painting.

Whats the update on this? Spring will be here soon.

Going back Saturday morning to work on it. We started the house buying process and that has been eating more time up. I need to get that frame crossmember in and painted and do the cab mounts. I think I am done with disassembly though lol. Now it's just a matter of piecing everything back together in the right order.

How was the New Years ride?

Ended up only goin up for a day. It was ok. There was lots of snow. The driveway was terrible. I'm goin try to go back up in Feb to ride some. I'm considering trailering to Mich to ride Bundy Hill with some of the guys on here on St Pattys day.
