Project Life Support.

Subaru's are good vehicles. I live 10 minutes away from the plant that they make them at.
My dad got a tank from the junk yard and it had a pinhole hole on the fuel tube for the return line ( for when he was putting a TBI on his truck, but never wroked right due to to much fuel pressure) and and anyways solidered up the hole and worked great.
The windshield part might cost more money to fix. What were you doing when it cracked. One cause is from the cab flexing to much (happened to a fullsize Dodge we had and it happened while going down the street).
I was driving, and some little car going the other direction kicked up a rock in it's tire and it flew into my windshield. It's slowly spreading. =( And I wish it was just a pinhole in my gas tank, but the stuff pours out when I get above a certain point, which happens to be the spot where the pump shuts off. I lose maybe a cup or two of gas every time I fill my tank. But then of course there's the loss from evaporation as well.

you can jb weld both problems :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:
They actually have this windshield sealer stuff that is supposed to keep the crack from spreading, I thought about using it on there. It's not by the JB weld people though. And I actually plan on JB welding the tank, I just can't get my bed liner off to get at the bolts to take the bed off, and I can't find the leak from under the truck.

Im told not to use jb weld on the tank but instead use the water weld on it. It works better and cures in gasoline.

Trashed a car the other day in an accident. Link to thread located here.

Plate half fell off on the drive to college. I secured it for the ride home and will be zip tieing it on pending the purchase of a license plate bracket. I JUST BOUGHT THAT ONE DAMNIT.

Skid marks are kind of hard to see, but if you have good eye's they're there.

I need a new bumper (maybe, if I can't beat it back) and some paint.

BUILT FORD TOUGH.

that doesnt look too bad. i was expecting a cracked grill or something along with it

I expected a massacre of red medal and black plastic with steam from my Radiator everywhere. I was shocked when I looked at my truck and saw just the bend and missing paint.

Bought paint last night. Same kind as before. Now I just have to straiten the bumper and see if it is fixable. If not I'm taking a trip to the Binghamton area to visit Gary's U-pull-it.

Koda there is a product that's very similar to JB weld that is specifically for fixing gas tanks. I have used it a few times with good results but I don't remember where I got it.

Since I spend approximately 100 a week in gas, oil, and power steering fluid the truck will be benched for an indefinite amount of time once the inspection expires. Which is in 25 days.

Yeah, but that's including a 60 mile drive four days a week, a 70 mile drive 2-3 days a week, and a 15 mile drive 4-6 days a week.

I probably spend more than that 100 to be honest.

Ouch. If I had to do that kind of mileage I'd be asking my boss for a raise to pay for the extra running.
