PlumCrazy's Build

It really only took about 4-5 hours. Just need a grinder, dead blow, angle finder, tape measure, straight edge, welder and vise.

Yeah I assume it would be fairly simple but I have a hp 78-79 axel and a LP waggy 44. I've contemplated swapping the tubes so I can shorten it up like you've done.

Just shorten the 78-79. It would be super easy. Only one weld to grind/move

Welded the tubes.

Tried on the new cover.

I'm a tire hoarder...

My basement/garage/backyard/woods behind the house is starting to look like that, only not as many matched pairs. And more holes in the side walls.

Yeah I've got 1 full set of BFG mud terrains 35"s, a pair of 35" wide brutes and a pair of 38.5" tsl's setting next to my shed. Soon I'll get my almost new set of 30" cooper stt's back for my 99 black ranger. I'm tire poor right now lol

Had blast wheeling Clay Valley on the 4th. Mostly tight woods trails and slick hill climbs since this was only the 3rd event ever held here. Helped cut a few new trails and make a few more permanent.

The front end actually held together for once besides grenading a hub.

I also popped a front brake hose, I don't think I pinched it, I think it just popped under pressure? Having a tough time finding a replacement. 26" long with a 7/16 banjo and a 3/16 Inverted flare T on the other end.

I swapped my 45* fitting out on my steering cyl after shearing it off on my pitman arm...Im not sure why I didn't have a 90* on there to begin with.

I slapped on my pretty new sticker....and promptly went out and shattered it.

Picked up a new window at the local Pull-a-Part (shit is getting expensive there now a days) and threw some tint on it. I wasn't going to bother with tint...but it keeps the window together if it gets broken.lol

I stopped by Summit Racing on my way home from NY last week and glanced through the ole clearance section..

Scored a 5x5.5 15x10 Mickey Thompson and 25' of flexy flare for $50 bucks total.

Found a brand new 38.5 TSL for less than half of new so I picked it up to replace the one in my set that had some dry rot and a cut (still held air) Threw it on the bead lock and Ill throw the old one on my pretty new MT for a spare.

My first order showed up...I can say RCV has some of the best customer service in the industry. They are willing to work with customers for sure and not try to upsell you every chance they get. I cant say the same for Yukon though...they ignore emails, don't return calls, and just are not helpful overall.

Picked these up cheap...Superior Super 88 semi-float shafts. I did some digging and found that even though Superior is out of business, the Yukon Ultimate 88 kit is a 100% knock off of their kit. Im trying to locate the rest of the parts, but I may just buy a new kit and use these shafts, then keep the others for spares.

I sold my Kevlars and rims, so I currently have no street tires, but it should motivate me to go through with my plan for 37s and bigger rims..and I got to help a fellow wheeler out in a pinch to get him back on the trails with a new Kevlar

That's all I got for now.

^I will next time. Lol. I can tinted frosted Lexan.

UPS man dropped off some goodies. Updated RCV joints that have the roll pin retainer to fix the stub walking out if the joint issue.

RCV's are quite appealing. I have two sets of chromos for my front end right now. Maybe someday I'll sell them off and commit to a set of RCV's. 1000 bucks isn't entirely out of the question. Stronger, smoother, and no need for spares.

I got a decent deal on these....I'll damn near break even when I sell my current chromos and spare set.lol
