1987 standard cab short bed, with a 2003-ish FX4 Level II 8.8" rear axle w/Torsen (one inch wider on each side)

Front wheels are 17" x 9" - Offset +24mm - Backspacing 5.95"
Rear wheels are 17" x 10" - Offset +20mm - Backspacing 6.29"

Front tires are 255/40-17"
Rear tires are 275/40-17"

And yes, it rides a little rough because of the short sidewall, even with new shocks. The rear can try to get away from you on super crappy highways at higher speeds.

LMR SVE 10th Anniversary Mustang deep dish wheels.

Rears will not tuck under bedside but it has never rubbed or hit, even with a load of lumber in it..

The fronts, I can't run the center caps because of the grease cap on the spindle. If I run a 1/4" thick wheel spacer, I can use the center caps BUT then the wheel studs aren't long enough. I plan to address this during my 97 Ranger i-beam/brake swap by pressing longer studs in to the Sport Trac rotors. No rubbing or clearance issues on the front though.

She does her best to hook up. The light rear end combined with the V8 and 4.10 gears makes that a difficult task though. I'll be swapping to 3.73's soon. I have everything for the job but the right weather..

18" x 8" Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dogs w/4.5" backspacing & 225/40R18 Hercules "Ironman" tires.

I'm using Chassis Tech 3" drop beams on the front & Competition Engineering ladder bars on the rear. It also has Slam HE-6 bags on the front & Airlift 2600 bags on the rear. We set the suspension up to match the 3/5 drop, beam/rear flip kit I originally had on the truck at full ride height.

93 Regular cab lowered with aftermarket I beams that came with it and rear axle mounted on top of the axle. Plan is to raise the rear 1 1/2" to 2" to level it.235/65x16's on 16x7 1/2 wheels from 94-5 Mustang. Wheel offset isn't right, tires rub sway bar on full lock turns.

I have a 1985 ford ranger 2wd 351 winsor swap. I want to switch to the factory 15 inch bronco II wheels. Tire rack list 235/60/15 as an optional size for the front
will there be any clearance issues?
Also what year 8.8 explorer rear end will fit

I want to put these 95 17” wheels on my ‘94 ranger. Just 1/4” spacers? Can I use the stock lugs? I’ve read the other threads but wanted to confirm

Try and put a couple on. One front and one back, that'll tell you if you need spacers.

As for the stock lugs, it all depends. You'll need to put a wheel on and measure the amount of stud showing. If the amount of stud showing is equal to or longer than the diameter of the stud your good to go. Any shorter and the nut won't have enough threads to hang on to and will likely back off.

(16”’s). stock suspension 94 2wd, stock escape rims from a 2005. 1-1/2” spacers (bought them for my wheel horse tractor & wanted to see if the escape rims would work, without spacers fronts will interfere with rotor hub) The wheels look ok with the spacers & will work but I dont like the look of them, didnt drive it , just tried a front & rear tire to see how they would look. Tire size is 235/70/16

3 years later: no rubber fender flares, s.s. wheel well fender trim, 2” spacers. escape alloy wheel right side, steel spare on left side. 235/70/16’s. at some point I will put spacers on front too and see what the original set of 2011 escape rims look like. The 2” spacers corrected the extreme positive offset the escape wheels have. Still dont like the look but 16’s are easier to find and can be cheaper than some 15’s.
