I've searched high and low to find the location of the PCV in my 99 3.0 Ranger. Haynes doesn't match what I see. Nothing on Youtube for my year/engine. I suspect it's driver side but perhaps I'm not looking far enough down. Any help would be welcome

I'm not for sure on the 99 but my 97 it was in the drivers side valve cover. At the back. Right up against the firewall. There was a wire cluster/plug in front of it if i recall. Hope that helps maybe. Doubt they would have changed much as far as placement of the PCV from 97 to 99 but it's possible.

The PCV valve should be at the rear of the drivers valve cover. The hose leads from that spot, up into the bottom of the intake manifold just behind the throttle body.

Thanks for the help. Managed to find it with the tips above. I've attached a pic to show the location. I had to use a hairdryer to loose up the hose but it worked like a charm and came out easy. Used the same trick to get it back in.
