On my way to Wal-mart tonight

It is worse when we get that really dense fog and you will see idiots who don't turn on their lights when driving in the thick fog!!!!!

thats because its a heck of alot easier to see with just your parking lights on rather then your low beams thast are reflecting all of the light right into your face. I do it all the time if the fogs bad enough... and yes you can still see me even without headlights.

howd yall kep from gettin the cracks....?

you have to prep the surface really well. i took a scott sponge with the rough side and scuffed it up, then i cleaned it with windex and it sprayed on just fine. I did 2 lighter coats and 3 coats of clear so they are perfectly visible when on and dark when off. Haven't done my taillights yet but I'm going to.

AND... for those of you "haters". Its for looks, I like the dark look of the lights and windows. I didn't do my headlights as I know those are important and I'm going to be putting on LED squares in red and abmber on the back and amber for the front to keep some bright 100% visable lights that do the exact same thing as the dark ones. :icon_thumby:

i dont think cops have the right to tell him to scrape it off. or tell some one to pull the window tint off. it is damageing your own property because you cant do either of those things on the spot and not tear upsomething. they should just give you the fix it ticket. you fix it later then show in court that you fixed it and move along with your day.

They need to give him an actual ticket... that fines him. Because then he has to show proof in court that he fixed it, and if he did fix it, the charges are typically dropped.

exactly when i got pulled over they gave me an actual ticket but when i proved i fixed it was dropped. but for the officer to force him to scrape the tint off on the spot causing permanent damage to his taillights i think is wrong of them to do.

No, it's not. If the cop lets him go on his way without removing it and he causes an accident because of his stupid tint, that would be negligence.

Wasn't anything mentioned about his lights being damaged anyway so that argument is also invalid. Plus he caused the problem to begin with so he kinda deserves it.

Frankly I've seen a couple of those idiots that I wished the cop would take a nightstick to the tail lights...

but that's just me...AD

LOL I'm right there with ya! When I do up my Ranger, I'm going to have some bedsides that require the use of 2000 tail lights (on a 97) and I plan to go to some smoked LED tail lights but I'm not going to throw film on them like some sort of retard.

I just have to say this guy is a retard. Plus, it's probably so much easier to find some new taillight lenses at a junkyard than it is to scrape the film off. Again, RETARD! Most dodge drivers are :-P

u cant just replace the lens on mostly modern taillights

a slight smoke looks nice, but that thing that looks like u painted the tails with spray can looks horrible and stupid imo

looks good

There are 20 reply's to this post and I never got one notice of a update.

I saw that same truck today, and you can see where he had to scrape the Tails and Headlights, it looks real crappy now.
