so i was on my way home and the headlights just shut off. all other lights worked. so i searched and it should be either the headlight switch or the dimmer{mfs} switch. i checked and had power on the red/yel wire on the dimmer switch so that suggested the dimmer was bad. replaced it and still nothing. the headlight switch is new. if the fusible link was bad i wouldn't have had power at the dimmer right? any ideas?

Answers to the following questions may help narrow it down. If you have a test light, it will be a lot easier to check for power at various points in the circuit. Let us know what you find.

Are both high and low beams out?
Does the high beam indicator in the cluster work?
Can you test for power at both sides of connector 120 on circuits 12 and 13?
Check for corrosion at the lamp connectors.
Now the too obvious: check for burned out lamps. It has been known for both to go out at the same time.

ok figured it out...bad headlight sockets. the grounds were not touching anymore must have vibrated the dirt out lol
