I bought an ICON 25" digital torque wrench. Much improvement over my 18" clicker.

already have a Harbor Freight 20 ton press. it was getting lonely so I bought it a companion.

the HF one has the top beam welded on so the width is fixed.
the new one is completely bolt together which means I can swap in a much wider beam and extend the legs
to make a gantry crane. with proper bracing of course.
already have a chain hoist.
the uprights are 100mm channel and the price was about what some steel would have cost.
it's 59" which taller than most.
price delivered & taxed was about $35 less than a HF inside track price.

UPS even delivered it ahead of schedule while going thru that hurricane.

cheapest one on Amazon, don't expect miracles from the drill chuck.
otherwise it does drill holes in heavy plate. that's my welding table, putting some threaded holes in for clamps.

the instructions translation is hilarious, includes butter for lube and cookie dough for something.

Also just for that, I may try to track down some old Frigidaire nallme plates. Would be funny.

I have an array of US General boxes, I kinda like the drawer layout of the series 2 over the current series 3 but yeah... at least the series 3 with the 5X" boxes the drawer latch things are wider than just the very right side of the drawers... That's where the Husky boxes shine since they have soft close and detents instead of latches... everything is just choices...

as for recent acquisitions, last weekend at HFT I got another $20 brushless 4.5" angle grinder (going to use this one for just tungstens for TIG welding if it works as planned), other than that I bought 3 shelves for the shop within a week and now have them all put up. If anyone needs metal shelves the US General option is pretty nice, picked up two of those while they were $40 off

I bought a 3-in-1 sheet metal machine from Harbor Freight on clearance for $240 OTD. It is a heavy pig so i needed to build a decent stand for it, and the base of a table saw came into the thrift store a couple days ago… perfect. A bunch more almost scrap square tube and some angle built this. It needed a counter weight on the bottom so I added a 100lb tractor weight for ballast.

I also mounted my old homemade brake on it. I have been looking for a good spot for that for many years… just never quite found a good spot but it’s perfect here. I built it years ago, kinda crude but I can bend thin stuff to a 90 with one side of the die or about 130 degrees on the other side. Rarely use it but it’s incredibly handy when I do.

I think I may put plywood on the bottom for a shelf and put Packout boxes or something in there… not sure yet .
