that is an AIM Industries kit. They are notorious for having the upper arm shorter than necessary so the inside of the tire wears like yours do. you can either build new uppers, cut and extend your current ones, or (my favorite) scrap that crap and get a real front kit.
with a quality ball joint (napa HD blue boot or MOOG problem solver), you can get the same performance out of them as long as everything is set up correctly and the suspension is limited at bump and droop to keep the joints from maxing out. dixon bro's use ball joints on their kits and have no major problems
ETA: there is no difference between king/fox/any other shock brand that you, heavyfire or i will be able to tell. look for any 2.0x6" or 8" shock you can get a deal on and make sure it has a reservoir.
if you want to put the camburg 5.5 kit on there, you NEED stock lower arms, their kit will not work with the arms you have now. if you want a kit similar to what you have now, look into BTF Fabriation (
www.btf-fab.com) in socal. they make a similar (but better) kit that is stronger, will actually let you align the tires, and looks better. it will work with your stock or lift spindle, or they can build you spindles that you won't break unless you're insane. i have the kit on my truck with a fabtech spindle and love it for a dd that still sees dirt. it's coming off in a few months though.
PM me if you have any other questions and i'll help you out
