1, the stainless hoses I've used are not too expensive, the come in a kit and are flexible.
2, I simply use a remote oil filter kit to the thermal valve, then a loop to the cooler back to the thermal valve and finally back to the remote adapter.
3, here is a decent fan from Summit, it is no name brand but it moves enough air. A Flex-a-lite or other name brand will be good for 8-10 years, the cheapest work, just not as long.
4, I have had no problem buying replacement 4.0l automatic radiators. I go with a brand that I feel is trustworthy but have on occasion used the best looking unit from The ROCKAUTO.com.

Here is a pic of the type of stainless steel hose kit I've used with great results...bar they are a more of a PITA to remove and replace.

Available on eBay and Amazon with enough hose for an entire vehicle (both upper, lower and heater hoses with all adapters and double clamps).

I'm going to have to make a note of the C320 fans and keep an eye out when I'm hitting the u-pull-it yards. Some how I've never seen y'all mention those before. I like OEM (or OE replacement) fans over aftermarket.

IIRC the Taurus or Lincoln MK8 is another good factory 2 speed fan of you have room for it. It's a puller instead of a pusher, so has to go behind the radiator.

I just looked on RA, the VW 2 speed electric fan is still available new. 11" blade diameter. 150 watts on low speed and 250 watts on high speed. The dual temperature fan switches are still available as well.

C230 Kompressor fans. 320 is unknown if it fits.

Generally electrical fans loads are rated by amps they draw. I have used fans that require either a 20a or 25a fuse. The power draw can be computed using power = impedance • voltage;
Since the approximate voltage drop = the battery output, let's say 12v • 20a = 240w, while a 25a fan will require approximately 300w.
