Need JET performance chip assistance

Nope the 2000 has a 4.0L but it could be the OHV or the SOHC. Not to mention the 2000 is an OBDII system and computer while yours is an OBDI. So it more then likely won't work. I personally wouldn't waste my money on a JET chip... Spent the extra 300 and get a custom tuned programmer.

'a 2000 Ford ranger automatic 4.0' will only have the OHV (only the Explorers came with either), but as previously stated, is ODB-2 and won't work with the ODB-1 setup of the pre-96 Rangers. You will be stuck with having to use a chip in the ODB-1 system as there is no tuner available to just plug in.
