Does ignition control module color matter

Your truck has DIS (not EDIS), some versions of DIS used a cam position sensor for SEFI fuel injection (yours doesn't), I'm not sure if the modules are the same or plug compatible. You would have to pull the part number off and go to a good parts website to decode like Rockauto, etc.

Update on truck still isn't fixed talked to ford asset program teacher at job he said try a new alternator not a rebuilt one so I did no luck also tried a new computer no luck and a new ignition control module and no luck so now I'm back to tracing wiring

Could bad wiring at turn signal switch be the issue or am I solving a different issue I hadn't noticed
