Well this is what i got a 94 ranger with no heat and i've seen posts on this but tried flushing core and t-stat but still not getting any heat the temp guage dont move much and even after i run it for 25 miles i can still take the cap off with no preasure was wondering if its just the cap?
Any help is appresiated! Thanks!
BTW it has a 13 p cap not sure what spec is and a 192 t-stat

It sounds like the thermostat is stuck open. If it isn't new, change it. If it is new, change it again.

check fan clutch

water pump impeller could also be rusted away (coolant won't circulate)

So you installed a new 192degF t-stat?
If so feel the upper rad hose after engine has run for 5 minutes, if it is warm then t-stat is open and it should not be.

'94 ranger heater core has circulation all the time, no "heat valve" on the heater hose is used.
Feel the heater hoses at the firewall to see if they are warm, one should be slightly warmer than the other, but only slightly.
The warmer one is the IN hose.
If the other is much cooler then core is plugged, regular flushing won't clear it.
Back flushing might but a new core is under $30 and it is very easy to change, 4 screws and 2 hose clamps.

If both hoses are warm then inside the cab there is a Blend Door, it may be stuck closed, the Blend Door opens to allow fan to blow air thru the core and into the vents.

An engine can run cold in very cold weather, even with t-stat closed the block and heads are being cooled by the cold outside air.
Blocking air flow into engine compartment can help keep temp up, i.e. a piece of cardboard in front of the rad.

I think if water pump was an issue you would get overheating.
Fan clutch stuck in direct drive would cause too much cooling in cold weather, to check this, with engine off spin the fan, if it spins then it is not stuck.

Pressure in the cooling system only comes when coolant is heated above 180degF, so you are not getting that hot, as temp gauge and heater function would indicate.

Another thing that may help i don't know if you have it but a temp gun gives you a slightly better idea of what temp the coolant is running through your system. After the engine was put in my 94 we had similar issues. Not so much with pressure but with the temp. Ended up putting a new thermostat in and that fixed it. I will say from what i have seen and heard the dash gauges can be flaky at times so don't always go off what it says.

I would try a new cap if you aren't getting pressure. Which after 25 miles of driving you shouldn't be able to remove a cap from a hot radiator without it bubbling coolant out or hissing atleast.
