My reverse no longer works

Last night I drove back home after a successful hunt and parked my 3L ranger with no problems, got in it to go to church today and it would not reverse, sometimes when it’s cold the transmission sticks so I let it warm up and still no luck, tried switching through all the other gears and they work fine so it’s only reverse. Any help would be appreciated hopefully I don’t have to swap the transmission again

It’s a 2000 and the transmission is a 4R44E

Ok... You've done the basics like check fluid level?

If that's good, with that transmission I'd start double checking electrical connections. Edit: especially around the shift position sensor and harness on the side of the trans.
