My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

checked Monday for vac leaks and found none. There is no fuel leaks.. I pulled the tank a month or two ago and double checked everything... The filler neck is new and tightly seated... It holds fuel pressure after the engine is off... FPR is new and functioning... A buddy that is a pretty good mechanic seems to think it may be the MAF.. It isn't new but I cleaned it with the proper stuff. I am going to run it completly out of gas with a gas can in the bed just to see how far I can go... I checked the header tube temp Monday and they all seemed to be the same temp cept the front was a little cooler..

everythng seems normal... that's f-ed...

it didn't lose ANY power? master hec0's truck, when his MAF got dirty, it ran like CRAP, and would barely idle!

i got 350km to the last tank, and i don't remember what it is to fill... 65-70 liters? someone do some math for me...

this next tank i get, i'll be as gentle as possible to see what i can get out of it

70 liters if you drained it bone dry, I usually put in about 55 liters when I fill up.

the light was on for a good while... so i'll say 68ish... is that for the supercab? there are different size tanks in different bodies, aren't there?

i'll actually go check my odo, i put 10$ in and drove like maybe 5 k home...

supercab, i think reg cab short box might have a smaller tank and the rest are all the same but im not sure :dunno:

from when the light first comes on to maybe 10-20 minutes after that, i typically put in about 55 liters to fill it, or if the odo's over 350 kms i fill it.

i'm at 380 right now, i'll be filling the tank tomorrow, gas is cheap at 116 per liter (4.42 per galon)

edit:
13.6mpg

Dang, I guess when my Little BII gets around 18 MPG, I better be happy with it.

It is F-ed... That's the part I don't get.. everything seems perfect... I am thinking on bitting the bullitt and taking it to ford...

Now that is going to cost you, I just hope they don't take one look at it and say "Sorry, 1990 Ford Ranger didn't have that engine and we can't work on it.", I forgot who in my family took a car to them that had a engine swap, and the one on Newport, TN. refused to look at it because of that.

But anywho, good luck, if all fails, you still have a nice V8 to put in it.

My 4.0 was getting bad mileage and the CEL was on almost all of the time, had the A4LD behind it. Did the M5OD conversion, I'm getting 16mpg in town and no CEL.

I'mthinking mine was the tranny. Just sayin....

Mine has a M50D... 16 MPG is horrible for a 4.0... When it was in my other truck i could go 400 miles per tank city or hwy..

Strange that you would have good power and everything and yet still be getting poor mileage... I assume you have the proper sized injectors? but even that would cause a problem from the get go, not just after the computer relearned everything. Good luck!

Great looking truck though - Keep at it!

I just filled my tank, including my top up, 70liters, 404 km... 13.6mpg (us gallons)

Going to replace my o2 that keeps throwing codes and see if it goes up...

Edit:

OH!!! I went 4x4ing on that tank of gas, and spent a lot of time in 4low screwing around, and pulling another truck back to the road...

The injectors are 18 LB injectors... It is very strange..
