My Build, All Parts And Prices ***2016 Updated*** still not done...

Don't worry, it's getting sold.... I need to fund a Hi9 front third somehow! The second the housings get here everything is gettin mocked up and gettin together.

I can't wait to see the axles and stuff once you get them in.

yea, i gotta find everything once i get back home. I am about 98% on getting an 88 K2500 with a 700R4 and whatever stock Tcase they come with. Not sure what axle is in the rear though. I think we have an 86 K20 around the woods somewhere too. Just gotta get back and go huntin! lol

That'd be a 27 spline np241 and a 14 bolt! Unless it's the L.D. which it might be as it has a 700r4.... in which case would be the 9.5" SF 14 bolt. Strong enough for a ranger, with much better ground clearance then the FF version.

One small step closer.... outers should be done this weekend if buddy every gets back from North Dakota....

The HI9's should help front driveshaft angle a ton, and keep the rear one outta the rocks, which the near fullsize wheelbase isn't helping.

yes. The one big drawback to the 9" is that low ass pinion. I am lucky i havent detenated (sp?) mine yet, as i have racked it about 10 times on rocks. I have a pinion guard from Ballastic i need to put in. Hopefully that will help.

Spidertrax 9" housings, THESE are the ones I have.

Rear is done, just gotta tack it down to the bench and start workin on the truss....

Front should be done by next weekend! Damn 3 1/8" D60 tubes causing me grief!

Pulling the tranny with 25" under the frame rails.... EASY!

Pulling the engine with the hood at 5'.... Not so much!

I had to use the engine hoist to lower the front of the truck down enough to get the engine out, then it'll go back up to ride height to get the suspension fabbed.

And yes... the shop needs more light.... I usually have 2 big dual 500watt work lights goin.
