My Bronco 2

It won't take much grinding on the topside of one tooth on the inner portion closest to the locker....only took a hair off on mine to get the pin in.

yeah, i know.. i just gotta do it. i ended up having to work this morning and i don't get off till 6. i'll get it done. that's the only thing keeping me from getting the rear axle done at the moment.

cross pin in..
ruffstuff cover cleaned, primed, painted..
mating surface the diff cover touches is cleaned..

in the morning i'll be putting the lubelocker in place w/ the diff cover and some oil in it. next comes building the brakes. it can't add that much weight to it, and i wanna get it as complete as possible before swap day.

think i might throw my super runner steering on my d28 and go get a lifetime alignment from Firestone Tire Shop lol.. i don't wanna hurt my new(to me) 33's.

also, i'm trying to find the calculators on what VSS gear i'll need to correct my speedo w/ 4.56's and 33's..
i can't find the right calculators. i'm almost certain its in my build thread somewhere since i used it before when thinking about 4.10s instead of the 4.56s...

also, REMEMBER... all t/cases use MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS gears. even if its an auto trans, the VSS is in the t/case and all t/cases take manual gears.

nice build man, I like it

I might see you rolling down the road some time, Im in Olive Branch

Thanks! I like it..
Welcome around TRS!
I don't make it out past Frontier western store very much. Usually stick to walls and Southaven. But yeah, if you need some parts or something for a b2 let me know. I got some stock piles and I'm about to have my 7.5 and atuff tore out for sale. if you go to do some major work and need a hand let me know. If I'm free I'll come wrench.

On another note: we are an all ford family again. My dad traded in his 1995 silverado for a 2003 crew cab f150 5.4 triton. It's nice... Even if it's 2wd also. :annoyed: oh well. No big deal.. It's a big step up from that chevy money pit

Just do a SAS to it and it will be all good.

i will NOT be sas'ing this b2.. a different one, probably in the future. but for now my pretty little mall crawler is getting 4.56's and some ttb goodies. i even ordered some flex joints today from a friend on a different forum. wasn't gonna use them....but i got them super cheap so... :yahoo:

I belive it lol. Street tires, polished rims, D28 yeah all street worthy lol Hell the bumpers dont even ahve any scuffs on them lol.

The most it's been wheeled so far is hunting fishing and some basic trails. Light mud. Things like you'd put a basically stock axled vehicle thru. Lol. And it is my dd. So it does see the mall!!!! Lol.

Remember the purpose of this build.. Mostly dd and light wheeling bc the body is in such good shape. It'd be a shame to go tear up such a nice piece of ford history!!! Lol

Once axles are done so I stop roasting d28 hubs and 7.5 spiders I'm going to superlift or hawk pride. I'm out of spare d28 hubs so if I break another one I'll just tear it down and drive the explorer till it's on the ex axles.

And it does have dents (a couple) and has trail pinstriping.

Aaah I didnt start at the begining bc well 85 pages is a little bit nuts to read lol.
