Remouting my lights tomorrow and putting a manual oil guage on it. And gotta replace the lower radiator hose. It's leaking. No biggie tho.

oh yes it does. i'm gonna rerun the wires to where they are hid more..

they ain't in the way of the headlights either. i like it. i'm glad i decided to keep it clean with NO light bar.

looks good. did you have to get an alignment after the susp lift? some people say i will need to and some say i wont

i got one.. but it still sucks.. it's still not right in my opinion.
make sure you ask if they will warranty the work by your standards. the machine says mine is right... but its not. but oh well. SAS coming soon hopefully.


i FOR SURE had to have one after the lift. just do it and see what happens. mine was terribly off after the lift.

alright.. so is there a gauge pod for the a-pillar of the 1st gen's? i don't like where my oil gauge is and want the pillar mount. is there a universal that fits good? most of them have the shape of most import cars (more curve than the 1st gen), want a dual pod probably.

yeah i gotta cut it. just gotta figure out what to do with the inner fender and if i should bend it under when i cut it.

yup i missed it, just cut the lower fender straight across. if you bend it the paint will crack up so i would just cut it and do something to protect the edge

thought about gluing a tube or hose on it. just split it open and glue it with the epoxy stuff we use at the shop.

but what about the inner fender?

oooo hm... it included laying out both harnesses and using a ohms meter and seeing what wire went to what pin on the computer... and then printing out and splicing the wires to the dash (wires at the firewall).. PAIN IN THE A$$... but i wanted the first gen dash

..honestly i didn't even know you were suppose to use the 2nd gen dash to make it easier or i probably would have. but i'm glad i didn't. i took on the task of the swap with no prior knowledge anyone had ever done it before.. i didn't even know TRS existed then!


but i love the look of the first gen dash in the first gen. 4.0 or not... i just started tracing wires and reading diagrams. i almost had the diagrams memorized at one point- then i went to sleep for the first time in 2 days

Dang, I was hoping it'd be easier than that.

I'm keeping the first gen dash anyway, or making my own.
