yes, it is alive.

the jackass I bought the headers from painted the headers. I didnt think he was stupid enough to use regular paint, I assumed it was VHT. It is regular paint.:icon_twisted:
 
put some damn mufflers on that thing! and fix your driver window :thefinger:

with the audio its tough but the way it dies sounds like it needs some tuning.


make sure the o2s are right at the collector.

will post up more tomorrow after i get an exhaust put on it. Pulled the ECU bobby... let it sit for awhile while we worked on the ZJ.. plugged it back in... fires up and idles fine, for just over a minute and a half. Then wont idle. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

truck is at the exhaust shop, will be ready to pick up tomorrow. 2.5" y-pipe off the headers, into a collector. 3" single after that.

Unplugged the computer last night, put my timing back to the 10* mark before I started jacking with it yesterday. put ecu back in, fired right up on the 2nd revolution, went into high idle open loop. Had no issues putting it on or off of the trailer.
 
Almost done!!! I have some pretty bad valvetrain clatter. Turns out pushrods were about .050" short DOH!. Got the new comp cam's magnum set on the way, will be here tomorrow. Other than the loud valvetrain.. I've got 50psi oil pressure on start up, 35psi warm. Now its all downhill!

Did you go 2 into 1? What size off of manifolds, muffler, how much tailpipe? Stealing ideas for my 5.8, because that thing sounds great!!!
