my 96 ranger 4banger mud truck thats been sas'd

What happened to your draglink and panhard?

for the dana 44 swap?

used full size bronco drag link and heated it to take one bend out and then welded the bracket to the frame by the steering box bolts

love to get this 2.3 running better, but the classes i run in mud bog doesnt allow for a turbo or anything, must be all motor. love to find a chip or cam and hog the head out

Why not put in a 302 or something like that? You are gonna blow that thing to shit in no time.

its hard to blow a 2.3 bro, ive had over a dozen and they took that abuse daily. but like i said earlier, i run in 4 and 6cylinder mud class and a 302 would be a v8 :icon_thumby:

The 2300 is a capable motor. Had there been a 4cyl class here, I would have won many times. I ran against v-8s and got in the top ten of around 50 trucks.
The cylinder head is where you can make the biggest improvement.
Have you gone to Esslingers web site?
You should also check out Racer Walsh, If nothing else, just to give you an idea of what you can do.

yes i have but cant run aluminum head, thats why i figured the 4.0 sohc moto is best bet with 200 h.p.

The 4.0 sohc has aluminum heads. The 2300 can make 200 HP with a cast iron head, Esslinger has a recipe to do it. That is naturally aspirated as well.
