My 91 Ranger the stRanger

V8 swap? Haha i still need to get this out of the garage! I dont see that for a while, I still need to build a tube bed, sliders, bumper and look into some seats w/ harnesses and what not.

Todays update. My tube bender came in this afternoon so I spent most of the day putting it together. I have a 1.75 die for it. I just bent one piece to test it out and it works great! I need to paint it up tomorrow morning to finish it up. I also cut the fenders on the passenger side today, one fender left to do tomorrow.
Also tomorrow I am going to build my tranny x member and cut off the carrier bearing x member. Hopefully at the end of the day when the grinder dust settles the transfercases will be back in the truck and it will be ready for driveshafts.

It's a rouge alpha bender. I ordered it off pirate, works pretty slick. With pirate and military discount it was 670 shipped. Then you just buy the $80 HF ram. It requires welding to put together but it was easy and seems very well made. I'm going to weld casters to the bottom

Did that price include the die?

Yeah that's die included. An you don't need to mount it in the floor

Wow. I'm need to check into one.

Yeah it's a pretty good deal. The company is rouge fabrication and they have a pirate thread in the vendors under tools. I can make a video I it working sometime if there is interest

Ok I got the truck out of the garage and down the road tonight! The doubler fought the whole way to get installed. First the cases were leaking after I filled them up, then the under body needed trimming and a major BFH session to get in it. Then the shifter didnt line up so I had to hack it apart and make it work. Bled the brakes, got my drive shafts, and shes smooth down the road. Well mostly lol. It pulls a little to the right but I am going to try and tweak that tomorrow. The gas gauge works also! I still need to get a longer speedo cable, build the doubler support and get straps for the front axle ujoint yoke.

Anyone know what straps or ubolts I need on my front axle yoke?
Also I solid mounted my tranny x member to the frame. Its a harsher ride because I feel a lot more vibes, any issues with doing this?

I ordered the ruff stuff x member kit but they forgot the mounting tabs. This is the second time they have left itemsout of my order...

ok the pics. It was dark when I flexed it out, but all my clearences are good. Cant wait to try double low 4x tomorrow!

My trans crossmember is bolted right to the frame as well. 40k with no issues. Thats how all the 95+(at least 4x4 anyway) crossmembers are.

Yeah that's what I figured its ok. I actually used part of your old ttb crossmember I had in my new crossmember. It just feels a lot harsher and I'm not sure why. Is it possible I stuffed the tranny to far up when I made the x member?

If you have a soft tranny mount in there, no problem. Just gotta give it room to move.

Truck looks bad ass dude.

Haha. Thought that mount in the middle looked like something I would do.lol
