My 2011 Ranger

Hi all, just thought I'd share pictures of my 2011 Ranger Sport 2WD that I bought brand new in May 2011 and have been upgrading here and there to be unique than the many other Sports around.

The day I got it.

One year latter. Black headlight assembly's, FX4 shifter, Magnaflow exhaust, Detroit Tru-Trac differential with a Trick-flow cover.

Two years latter. Lowered by removing spacer blocks on rear axle and un-cranking the torsion bars and fitting Hell-Wig front and rear anti-sway bars with Bilstein shocks. Plus 20 inch wheels to top it off.

Not to sure, I'm fairly satisfied with the way it is now. I might do little bits and bobs here and there but for the most part I like the way it is.

When did Ford start putting rear discs on the Ranger?

And where did you get those headlight assemblies?

2010 and 2011 model years are the only ones with factory rear disc brakes because of the addition of traction/stability control. I bought the headlight assembly's used of a friend of mine.

nice ranger... id cut those boots off my shocks though... theyll trap water and dirt and rot your shocks fast... ask me how i know...lol

Dude YOU got the headlights I want sooo bad. Your truck looks great. Whats the next mod you got planned?

** also does anyone know the ford part names for the sport factory fender flares? I need to get some for my ranger to cover up all my ratchet strap marks

I would try to drop it a little more to close the gap on the wheels but it looks really nice.

Yes I agree, I would like to lower it just that little bit more but probably won't happen until the spring time but I appreciate all of your comments. In the mean time I have installed XLT trim door panels on my truck because they look nicer, have bigger grab handle and map pockets. My truck has crank windows and the sport's come with the basic door panels. The one thing I'm thinking about adding is a small tailgate lip spoiler like the one that came on the Thunderbolt Ranger's.

be neat if you could put bigger brakes on it, those rotors look so small with the big rims.

Just a quick update I did find myself a genuine SLP tailgate spoiler on the net and had it installed. I rather like it! Not the best picture but it's visible.

I like the rear spoiler. Do you just put your stock wheels on for winter use ?

Yes i put the stock wheels and tires on for the winter but because its been such a lovely winter I've had it stored away in my garage and have only driven it about once a month on a nice day, in fact the day I took that picture of the new spoiler the roads were dry and snow-free but it was -38 degrees Celsius.

I'm more of an offroad guy, but the truck looks clean as hell. I'm not the biggest fan of the rims you chose, but they don't look terrible I agree that it could stand to sit an inch or two lower. Any onroad difference with the spoiler?

Absolutely when I hit 90+ mph I can feel the down force pushing the rear wheels to hug the road I'm just kidding, its there purely for looks and I doubt it has any effect.
