A buddy sent me a YouTube video on this so i tried it. All I did was change my cabin filter and got almost half a mph more air flow on the no 2 setting.

This is the 2019 wrangler 4 door with 60k miles. I forgot it had a filter but the filter wasn't bad since we dont really drive the jeep much. And the ranger filter didn't show up so I couldn't use it for this yet

Here is the jeep blowing with no filter in place

Here is the stock paper filter

Here is the k&n washable filter.

The fan speed was at 2 in each pic.

That should help keep the old jeep cool here in south Texas. We generally have mid to high 90s and then they add in the 90% humidity so the heat index is usually 9-11 degrees higher.

I switched to the K&N washable cabin filter a couple years ago. I did notice the truck cools down faster here in FL as compared to the paper filters.

hmm..when ours are due for a change ill have to get them..

you don't have to oil them like their air filters do you

Nor per the instructions. Just wash and dry

Edit: they do try to get you to buy that kit that sprays some kind of scent in it though
