moog balljoints

MOOG, TRW can't go wrong with either.

My experience with Moog wasn't so great, though this was on a TTB truck, not the A-arm IFS.

Spicer (Raybestos) "Professional Grade" joints have held up much better for me. I do believe the Raybestos PG joints are available for A-arm trucks too, which I highly doubt you could go wrong with them.

That's what I'm running in my abused SAS Toy. No problems to speak of.

And I run Moogs in my DD, 99 V8 Awd Explorer. No problems there either.

I'd say either of those would be a good choice. Just as long as you keep nice grease in them.

if ur goin to do the bottoms u might as well do the uppers

Not doing the uppers lol. They aren't wore out. No need.

Ordered em up.

Now I wait 2 weeks to get em lol

OE spicers ONLY. TRW's are absolute junk. <--- Moogs & TRWs only lasted me 6 months with 5 trips out to the trails. My OE spicers in my TTB have lasted me a year and a half with countless trips out.

I also heard Moog wasn't the best and spent the extra money on the Raybestos.

Interesting.

Other ranger forums I'm on the guys swear by moog. Oh well, they're ordered so we will see.

so, amazon wasnt estimating them to be shipped till the end pf january, begginning of march. that wont work at all. cancelled the order.

so, gonna try rockauto, hopefully their shipping isnt to insane....

they have raybestos for $28. those the ones i should get then, as opposed to the $22 moogs?

I've ordered from Rockauto many times. Their shipping is very reasonable if your order happens to all come from the same warehouse. Unfortunately they have several warehouses and each one only seems to carry about 40-50% of what's on the website though, at least has been my experience anyway.

I'm looking at pt# 5051281 on this page (not sure if that's for the 4WD/torsionbar suspension... doesn't say), Looks to have the same shiny gold-zinc colored body as the ones I've used, but the stud is a dark color where mine were shiny like stainless. I think they'll be fine though. I'd certainly get them over the Moog given my experience with them.

I'd call just to make sure they're for yours and not the 2WD coil suspension.

yeah i ordered the professional grade ones.

getimage.php

cross referenced the part number on several other sites and they all say its what i need for my application.

shipping came out to about $40.
not bad i guess.
