Anyone had success in stopping a seal leak with Lucas Transmission Fix?

I have a 94 XLT 4.0V6 with 216000 miles. I have a fluid leak where the transmission meets the gearbox. It's fairly significant and to keep things running I have to put in about 2 quarts a week (I drive about 80 miles a day).

I don't want to drop big $$ to drop the tranny to replace the seal.

This product claims to be successful for most seal leaks. I'm always a little skeptical of additives but I figured this may be an option.

Thanks for all the help from this site. TRS has saved me lots of money by doing the work myself.

I decided to give it a try anyway.

It has made some impact. I loss about a quart over the last week.

No other issues have popped up either.

Lucas Transmission Fix is still working

Well a almost a year later the Lucas is still helping out with no adverse effects.

I'm at 232,000 miles and when keeping a proper balance of Lucas and ATF I only have to top off the fluids once a month.

It took some experimenting to find the right balance but the leak has slowed considerably.

Hope this helps someone else who may be thinking about using the Lucas additive.

What do you mean, where the transmission meets the gearbox? They are the same thing, or do you mean bellhousing and transmission?
