well now that the snow is all gone around here an my parents dont have to park in the garage anymore i took it over an put the ranger in so i have a dry place to work on it.

there was a bunch of rust on the firewall that i got cut out an either today or tomorro i plan on welding new metal back in, an spray the whole fire wall an inner fenders with bedliner. an hopefully if everything goes well next weekend i can clean the motor up paint it an put it back in the truck.

I dont know how much you are looking to spend on seats but if i were you I'd throw some Beard Racing seats in there. My uncle has them in his sandrail and he loves 'em. I really wanna get a set for my baja. Plus they'll work really well with your harness setup.

With any seat that you go with, I'd highly recommend something that has a slot right behind your neck for the top of the harness to pass through. It will be more comfortable and hold you in better.

well havnt updated my build in awhile so i thought i would do it now, ive got a lot done.

i fixed all the rust on the firewall then bedlinered it all

an i was originally goin to just paint the truck all grey, but i wanted something different an looked cool so my dad gave me the idea of metallic silver an jet black, an this is what it looks like all finish an up to date.

i thought about that but the ranger already has the 6" SJ lift kit, better diffs with 4.56 gears LS rear, an welded up front. so i just wanted to paint it an clean it all up then i have a good capable trail truck that will last a long time, so down the road i can do 302 swap, an maybe put full widths under her.

its the new Dupli-color paint shop stuff. Its a clear base laquer paint that you dont have to thin out or anything its just shake pour an spray. i just went the extra an bought the clear coat an soaked it in 4 coats to help protect against scratches an make it shin alot better. but overall its a pretty good paint.

if you go full widths i want your lift. o and nice truck, i like the paint.

lol if i go full width an if i still have my mazda its getttin the lift kit lol sorry, but if i sell my mazda an go full widths ill let ya kno.

ya it lays down pretty good for doing it in my garage an only having redneck style exhaust fan. what helped me out alot but i should of done it more was wet sand between coats. the only real flaw was i used those scotch bright pads before i cleared it an now in the silver you can see some small scratches, i was told by a car painter to do that but you can barely see them.

so been awhile for the update, i got the truck finished an took it out on the road, ofcourse the first trail i drive down at 10 at night the truck died then the battery dies from trying to start it. thanks to my buddies for coming out an give me a boost, but i drove it for a week after with no problems the truck suprising drive straight an is a comfortable ride with the 9" lift. I havent beable to test the offroad capability yet it started snowing when i had the 10 day permit.

but new upgrades ive got for the truck are 36" iroks hopefully hurst shifter soon, an new pre runner style front bumper.

but heres a picture of where shes sitting for the winter in our backyard next to the boat.
