Im putting the T5 in my 90, I have a 89 stx interior in the truck now. Ill probably just get my bucket seat reupholstered and order a mew carpet. The issue im running into is the center console has to go. The shifter is gonna come up right where the cup holder is.

I would like something different just not a fan of cobbled together turds. Im not a fan of custom interior peices the never look like they belong.

I would have done the S10 tail housing but I dont want to spend the money.

You might be able to find a smaller console out of a second row of a Flex or an Explorer. You won’t find them in red.

Maybe shorten the one you have... use the end piece of the console to cap off the end of the console after you cut the cup holder out. The seam would be between the seats...

Im gonna probably do black and red. The wife thinks it will look good. Black carpet, red seats with black stitching, Im gonna pull the dash again and try to fill the cracks and do a two tone red and black.

I was thinking about moving the whole console forward 3 inches removing the cupholder and making like a the "center console of a mustang" but different lol

My crude drawing on my phone lol

Maybe move the console back and use the cup holder hole?

That won't work in a standard cab...

might be worth a few measurements.

Ill probably pick one up and an exploder center console and attempt the plastic welder.....to kinda fill the space I might do a custom dash. Even though im not a fan But I would like to echo the putting 60's chevy dash in. I was thinking 65 mustang. Scaled down to size.

Just a heads up...
If your looking for early Mustang parts, check CJ Pony Parts. They carry a full line of replacement parts for the early Mustangs. They list consoles, and full replacement weld in dashes. Pricey, but better than trying to find a beater to remove parts from.
I dealt with them many times when I had a 2007 GT, and there a top notch company to deal with.

I like Cj they are 30mins away from me. But I find myself using LMR, Summit and American muscle the most. Summit has spectacular shipping times from Ohio. Faster than Cj though lol

You'd have an easier time cutting into the back of the console, that section of floor is structural.

When I say it might be worth some measurements.... I meant to notch the bottom of the console to clear the hump.
