I searched the forum and only found half of what i was looking for. I see you can get F150 front coils and they will go in place of the ranger ones and give you a 2 inch front lift. If I use rear blocks, say 6 inch ones, I would have to have more front coil than just 2 inches bigger. I hear people talking about coil spacers? Are they worth the hassle or is it possible to use coils from a heavier duty ford such as an E350 with more length. How would the allignment be affected with taller front coils? I currently have a dana ttb, I think its a 35. Even if they are stiff, it won't bother me too much because I want to get a snow plow setup for it and I hate front end sag. Sorry if this has been brought up already, I just could not find what i was looking for. Thanks

what truck is this going into?

DONT use the f-150 coils...they are way stiff and will ride like shit with zero flex...

and please dont run a 6 inch block, its a death trap...

if your looking for a little lift use an f-150 coil spacer up front to level the truck out, for anymore then that up front you will need a lift kit with diff brackets to lower everything down to keep it in alignment

Im guessing this is going on your '86, which will have a Dana 28.

Like previously mentioned, dont use a 6" block. A 2" block is the max I would reccomend. You can always get explorer leafs and or longer shackels

You cant lift a TTB more than 2" without getting drop brackets for your axle pivot brackets and radius arms, if you do, you will not be able to align it, as the Camber will be super positive. See the pic below

home made lifts

so it wouldnt be a wise decision to use a 3x3 hss on the back and a 3" spacer on the front? would i still have to drop everything or would i be able to get away with it?

Just get a add-a-leaf or a ext. shackle for the rear and run a 2" spacer up front. Any more than 2" in the front and you wont be able to fix the camber. Also if you go anymore than 2" spacers I would be worried about snapping the stud since the spacer would be acting as a somewhat of a lever when the coil compresses.
