lift bracket question

I have been thinking of making my own lift brackets, but I have a couple questions...

Do the brackets drop everything straight down?
Say I wanna go 4", should I drop everything 4"?

Yes. Straight down. You are lowering your whole axle and keeping it level with the radius arms inorder to maintain alignability.

Like stated earlier. It's a simple one to one. 4" bracket=4" drop.

Make them strong, they take a LOT of stress.
