so when i purchased my 1990 ranger it had a 4inch trail master lift on it and the drop bracket poked a hole in the front pumpkin so im going to be replacing the front axle and want to know if there is any bracket i could replace it with so this wont happen again?

Any kind that replaces the entire stock bracket, most people run Skyjacker.

Those, along with Superlift (anything made after 2005 or so).

Skyjacker & James Duff are the sturdiest.
Good luck getting one from Duff though... Unless they've changed their policy, they won't sell you any individual part for a Ranger (this while they'll sell you parts for a Bronco all day long :icon_confused:  )

You could also just extend your bump stop on that side, it would limit some up-travel but would save the diff.

im going with the axle pivot brackets instead...would i still need a drop plate with them?
