Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Picked up some brand new rims today, the deal was right so I got them. I wanted 17's but these are 16's. And I was told they were 7" wide but they are only 6 with a 3.250 backspace. Should work fine for me with some weld on beadlocks. They will end up about 7.5 wide. Now I need DIY locks and tires.

and some NOT chrome rims lol. its to shiny for the truck

will the 16's fit the 60 up front?

You wont see the chrome under all the dirt. :headbang:

yea but even still a 7.5" rim? my ranger had 8"s on it and that was still too narrow for a 12.5" tire

if ya running lower pressures...then an 8" rim is really optimal for a 12.5" tire....

if running on the highway....use the "chalk" method to find the right tire pressure for oversize tires......make a wide stripe across the face of the tire with the tire aired up to "manufacturer recommendation"....then roll the truck back and forth, let some air out ( will start with just the middle of the tire getting the chalk worn off) .....repeat until the chalk wears off all the way across the face....

I am running my 40x16x16 LTB's on basically 16x7.75 rim. The DIY kits add .75".

I think they look just fine on the width. They don't appear to balloon out and I have never had any issues.

I'm running a set of 15's on my kp 60, and I have clearance without mods...

Yes they are narrower than I wanted but for the money I wont complain. On a offroad tie with 3lbs of pressure I just don't think it will be a problem. It will help me protect the beads too. Worst case I will use them as spare rims or rollers.
